Cherries in red wine: Recipe file – DG
- 1¼ cup of red wine
- ½ cup of granulated sugar
- 1¾ lb of cherries
Bring the wine and sugar to the boil in a small saucepan.
Add the cherries for 20 seconds, or until just cooked.
Take the cherries out, reduce the liquid till it becomes a syrup. Put cherries back into syrup to keep warm.
Eaten with pudding with Hamish, Thomas, Georgina, Vicki, Mitzi, Stephen and Craig the evening after we saw The Snow Queen Portobello Panto, starring Frankie, directed by Anna and with Poppy’s star turn.
